Freeman “Jeff� Conley Freeman “Jeff� Conley, 71, of Charleston, passed away peacefully to meet his Lord and Master, Thursday, November 4, 2010. He was born December 23, 1938 in Charleston, where he lived the most of his life, and graduated from Charleston High School. He was a welder and a longtime employee of Birch Moving and Storage in Charleston. He attended the Charleston Mountain Mission where he sang in the choir. He was a landscape artist. He was the son of the late Harme and Catherine Sloan Conley. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a son, Clifford; and brothers, Thomas and Patrick Conley; and sister, Julia Conley. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; sons, Michael, General and Henry all of Clarksburg, and Doug Atkinson of Charleston; daughters, Mary Keeler of South Charleston, Cathy Crowder of Campbells Creek, Melissa Waller of Tornado; sister, Delitha Dickman of Lantana, Florida; 12 grandchildren, and his little dog, Chewie. Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses in CCU at CAMC Memorial Hospital, and to Hospice Care of Charleston for the loving care he received in his battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Charleston Mountain Mission, 1600 7th Avenue, Charleston, WV 25312, or Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Boulevard, W., Charleston, WV 25312. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
