Freida Jo James

Freida James passed away in a local hospital on January 29, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace, daughter, Cindy, parents, Herbert and Viola Schleif, sister, Janis (Bobby) and brothers, Thurman (Glenda) Wade and Al Schleif.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Philip, grandchildren, Makenzie, Caleb, Haleigh, Megan and Brett, sister, Lisa (Lloyd), brother, Dana (Carrie), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and church family.

Freida was a faithful member of Sequoyah Church of God. She was the most loving and caring person you would meet. Her fun and loving nature will be missed by all and leave a hole in our heart that can never be filled.

By the grace of God, we will meet again one day.

The family would like to thank Dr. Brent Campbell for all the years of taking such good care of Freida. He was her doctor and also her friend.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 3:00 till 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the funeral home. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Geer presiding. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
