Harriet Ruderman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rose Funeral & Cremation - Mann on Feb. 11, 2026.
Harriet J. (Forman) Ruderman passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the age of 91. Born on February 3, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, Harriet lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her community, and her faith. Harriet was the loving daughter of the late Phillip and Carol Krosin of Cleveland, OH. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Alan Ruderman, of Hixson, TN. Her spirit will be carried on through her brother, Donald Krosin of Cleveland, OH; her sons, Les (Debbie) Forman of Knoxville, TN, Marc (Susan) Forman of Kodak, TN, and stepsons, Greg Ruderman, Gary (Mary Lou) Ruderman, and Joe (Tammy) Ruderman. Harriet was a proud grandmother to Samuel, Jacob (Azlin) of Kodak, TN, and Anna Forman of Knoxville, TN, and great-grandmother to Ella Bee Forman of Kodak, TN.

Harriet's interests were traveling the world with her husband. She was also an avid mahjongg player, delighting in the camaraderie and challenge of the game. Her friends and family will fondly remember the echoes of laughter and the clatter of tiles from the many joyful games shared over the years. Those who knew Harriet will remember her as a loving, generous, and spirited woman. Her warmth and kindness were felt by everyone she met, and her generosity knew no bounds. Harriet's legacy is one of love, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to bettering the lives of others.

As we bid farewell to Harriet, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with grace. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and her spirit will forever be a part of the lives she so deeply touched.

Graveside services will be held at the New Jewish Cemetery, 1800 Glenn Ave., Knoxville, TN on Friday, February 13 at 1:00 PM. The family will then gather at Heska Amuna Synagogue in Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to McKamey Animal Center at www.mckameyanimalcenter.org.

The service will be live streamed on Rose-Mann's facebook page right at service time. Live Stream Link press here
