Thomas Eugene Greenlee

Thomas Eugene Greenlee - age 79, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026. Born on May 24, 1946, Thomas lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, and a love for the outdoors.

Tommy worked for Enka in Morristown as a pipe fitter for over 25 years before retiring from the State of Tennessee. After retiring, Tommy spent his time in the woods, on the lake, and in his garden. If you knew Tommy, you knew he loved hunting, fishing, gardening, his wife, son, and most importantly, his Lord and Savior, not necessarily in that order. He asked everyone he met if they knew who Jesus was. If they didn't know the Lord when they met Tommy, they did by the time they walked away. Even while in the hospital, he was speaking of the Lord to everyone.

He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Elizabeth Jean Greenlee; his parents, Millard Hamler Greenlee and Francis Kathleen Kitts Greenlee; his sister, Lana Mildred Phelps; and his brother, Millard Hamler Greenlee.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife and devoted caregiver of 19 years, Shirley Mitchell Greenlee; and his beloved son Todd (Jackie) Greenlee. He was a cherished stepfather to Diane (Chad) Black and Richie Mitchell, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his dear nieces, Shonna (Kenneth) Greene and Kathleen Carrol; his nephews, Brad (Tanna) Nicely and John (Jessica) Greenlee; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Bridges Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM, with Pastor Jeff Wood and Derrick Mitchell officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11:15 AM on Tuesday at Bridges Funeral Home to go in procession to Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery for a 12:00 PM Graveside Service.
