Ronald Dennis "Ron" Martin

Ronald "Ron" Dennis Martin went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 18, 2026, in Rutledge, TN. He is formerly of Morristown, TN. Ron is a member of First Baptist of Morristown.

He began his career by teaching Biology and Chemistry at Morristown West High School. Later he became the principal at Meadow View Middle. Ron dedicated his service to the Lord with the ministry of song. He sang for years with the Sentinels, then the Dumplin Valley Boys, and The Rowlands. The last group he was in was The Ron Martin Family. Even though he loved to sing, his heart's desire was to teach God's word.

Ron is preceded in death by his father, Kyle Martin, mother, Eulalia Goins Martin, and sister, Kyla (Bob) Rowland Mullins.

He is survived by his loving wife Aquilla Dyke Martin of 23 years, who he loved with all his heart. Also, his son, Todd Martin and daughter, Candi Martin. His brother-in-law, Thurman (Nikki) Dyke. Other family members include Barry (Tammy) Rowland, Alyson (Chuck) Rowland Kinard, Shelbi (Landon) Cameron, Lexie (Noah) McCarter, and many great nieces and nephews. Finally, he was loved by many special friends: Kyle Underwood, Mike Keen, Jim Cash, Elmer Cole, Tommy Baker, Jeff Mills, and Brad Harris.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Rutledge Pike Missionary Baptist Church. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 6:00 PM with Dr. Joe Arthur and Rev. Carl Partain officiating; music by Barry Rowland and Deliverance, Shelbi Cameron, and Lexi McCarter. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM on Tuesday, February 24th at Little Valley Baptist Church in Blaine for an 11:00 AM graveside service with Dr. Craig Edwards with music by Robin Henderson.
