David Wayne Martin

Word has been received of the death of David Wayne Martin, 65, of Lawton, OK.

Mr. Martin passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 in Lawton, OK.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

No services are planned at this time.

David was born on July 21, 1960 in West Plains, Missouri to Emery Howard and Effie Mae (Jones) Martin. His family moved to southwest Oklahoma after his birth and he grew up in Frederick and Hollister, attending school in Chattanooga. After high school graduation, he joined the United States military and honorably served the nation. After his military career, he earned his Bachelor's degree and worked as a computer technician. Mr. Martin also worked as a truck driver and as a traveling harvester until his retirement. David enjoyed working on computers and learning new technologies. He will be missed by all those he loved.

David is survived by his sister, Phyllis Washburn; his nieces, Carey Cooper and her husband, John, Amanda Martin; his nephews, Chris Martin and his wife, Virginia, Emery Washburn; his four great nieces and nephews, Amy, Donnie, Patricia, Autumn; his 11 great great nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.

Mr. Martin is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Michael Martin and Steven Martin; his brother in law, Buster Washburn; and his great nephew, Steven Farber.
