Gerald Lynn Catlett

Word has been received of the death of Gerald Catlett, 72, of Fletcher, OK.

Mr. Catlett passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Lawton, OK.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Services will be planned at a later time.

Gerald Lynn Catlett was born October 12th, 1953 in Clinton, OK to parents Pearl and Glenn Catlett. Gerald had his brothers Glenn and Jimmy and grew up with their sister Mary Catlett(Golden). Gerald enjoyed hopping trains, riding the bread route, jumping dirt bikes, and sticking by his best friend ,his momma's, side. Yet he somehow always managed to get into mischief while on his next big adventure.

As Gerald grew older he focused on work and growing his family. He had two sons, Jeremy Catlett and Joshua Catlett as well as a daughter, Angela Catlett(Kennison) with previous wife Dianna Griswold. He then married the love of his life Judith Catlett, growing old with her. He worked for the City of Lawton in almost every department, he made waves starting at the lowest level slowly working his way to higher positions where he went on to help build playgrounds, managed Lawton's Lakes, and so much more.

Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, as much gardening as possible, and a love/hate relationship with mowing his lawn. With blood, sweat, and probably a curse or two; he and Judi turned their piece of land into a home and somewhere to grow old in. He found peace sitting on the porch with his wife, watching his pets along with his many grand and great-grand children grow and play. He was a tough God-fearing, stubborn, yet kind man. He was someone you could always count on for a word of advice or a hug when you needed it. He was a son, a brother, a daddy and the best papa any of us could ask for. Stories of adventures and other tales would enrapture anyone listening. These are stories we will all carry in our hearts forever more.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Glenn Catlett, as well as his brothers, Glenn and Jimmy Catlett. His wife, Judith Catlett, son Jeremy Catlett, granddaughter, Alexis Catlett and great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Butler. He is survived by his sister, Mary Catlett (Golden), as well as his children, Angela Catlett (Kennison) and Joshua Catlett. His grandchildren, Tristen Young and his girlfriend Shaina Ford and their two children Frankie Monoessy and AmeliaMae Young; granddaughter Stephanie Caldwell and her husband Micheal Caldwell and their children Joshua Caldwell, Nayomi Caldwell, Annalei Badillo, and Thanion Caldwell; His granddaughter Mikayla Catlett and her daughter Penelope Hernandez and son Antonio Hernandez. His grandson Joshua K. Catlett and his wife Emily Catlett and their daughter Harper Catlett; his granddaughter Gracie Catlett and her boyfriend Shaun Butler; His granddaughter Abby Ferris and her boyfriend Conner Green and their son Easton Green; His grandson Noah Catlett.
