Jimmy Earl Upton Sr.

Funeral service for former Lawton resident, Jimmie Earl Upton, Sr., 83, of Dixon, Missouri will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Kirby officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Upton passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at his home.

Jimmie was born on September 3, 1942 at Fort Sill, OK to Earl and Lois (Price) Upton. He grew up and attended school in Lawton. After his graduation, he worked for Mead's Bakery making hamburger buns that were sold to McDonald's at the Lawton and Wichita Falls, TX locations until his retirement. Mr. Upton married Billie Sue Moore and to this union four children were added. Jimmie enjoyed picking up golf balls that were in his yard from the golf course across the street, piddling in his yard, making campfires, fishing, and hunting for treasures.

He is survived by his children and their spouses, Charlotte and Mark Bietsch, of Dixon, MO, Bobby and Sean Upton, of El Paso, TX, and Malcolm Upton, of Plano, TX; his brother, Leslie Upton; his sister, Brenda Todd; his eight grandchildren; his 18 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

Mr. Upton is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jimmie Earl Upton, Jr.; his brother, Randy Upton; and his great grandson, Corey "CJ" Caldwell, Jr.
