It is with deepest sorrow and much love we announce the passing of Freida Perry, 88, of Milton, VT. She passed peacefully at NMC in St. Albans, VT on September 11, 2025.
Born on April 2, 1937, in Bakersfield, Vermont, to the late Harry & Sylvia Tillotson. Freida was a lifelong Vermonter whose warmth and kindness touched many throughout her life. She graduated in 1955 from Brigham Academy in Bakersfield, VT.
On September 6th, 1958, she married Arnold Perry. Together they had four children, Cheryl, Darlene, Karen, and James. Freida worked at Sadie's Snack bar in Malletts Bay and later at Burger King in Essex Junction. In each role, she brought a cheerful spirit and a genuine desire to make others smile.
She found joy in simple pleasures such as knitting and crocheting, ceramics, spending weekends exploring garage sales for hidden treasures, playing cards with friends and family, and solving puzzles. These hobbies reflected her thoughtful nature and love.
Freida was predeceased by her husband, Arnold Perry, daughter Darlene Perry, sister Marjorie Rich, brother Wendell (Barney) Tillotson, and special nephew Timothy Rich.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Williams & husband Harold of Montgomery, VT, daughter Karen Perry of Milton, VT, son James Perry & wife Renee of Fairfax, VT and a bonus son, Bill Murray. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, her Brother-in-Law & Sister-in-Law, Gerald & Shirley Perry, a special niece Janet Machia, sister-in-law, Theresa Perry, Brother-in-law. Sherman Adams, many nieces and nephews, and many special friends in the Milton Mobile Home Park.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her-for her gentle humor, generous heart, and the way she made people feel seen, appreciated and loved. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
A graveside service will be held at Milton Village Cemetery on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at 12pm.
