Frieda Kennedy, age 72, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on February 16, 2026, after an extended illness.
Frieda was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, to the late L.N. Kennedy and Helen (Williamson) Kennedy. She is survived by her sister, Jackie Price, of Mt. Juliet; her brother, Robert Kennedy, of Lewisburg, TN; her niece, Lily Price; her nephews, RJ Price and Sebastian Kennedy; as well as other extended family members and many friends.
Frieda was a long-term employee of Delta Airlines, and as a world traveler, she lived a fun and adventurous life. Her travels took her on an African safari, to the Pearl Markets of Beijing, a camel ride in Egypt, the Taj Mahal in India, and, most recently, on a hot air balloon ride in Turkey, as well as many other places around the globe.
She was much loved by her family and by the scores of friends she made all over the country.
A celebration of life for Frieda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet, TN officiated by Dr. Alan Herd. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026. A graveside service & burial for Frieda will take place in Fairview, Mississippi, at the Benefield Cemetery. Further details regarding the burial will be provided at a later date.
