Frieda Larson, 94, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday October 23, 2024 in Eventide at Hi-Acres.
Frieda was born October 2,1930 at Gopher, SD, the daughter of Fred and Eva (Stern) Kern. She attended the local rural school near Gackle where she received her elementary education.
She and Wilbur Larson were married November 16,1953 at Gackle, ND. They made their home on a farm SE of Gackle where they farmed until 1963 when they moved into Jamestown where she cooked at the Anne Carlson School. She also worked at the city laundry and cooked at HeadStart. Following the death of her husband in 2000 she resided in Jamestown and retired in 2001.
Frieda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She cooked the meatballs for the church Lutefisk supper for many years
She is survived by her 3 children, JoAnn Larson Schwartz, Lucille (Dave) Cysewski, Lloyd Larson; 8 grandchildren, Beth Schwartz, Mike (Lisa) Schwartz, Paul (Catie) Cysewski, Eric Cysewski, Tania (Matt) Legge, Jordan Larson, Nicole Larson, and Andrew (Megan) Nicklay; 2 brothers, Gust and Melvin.
Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Glenn, 4 brothers, Gottfried, Julius, Daniel and Louie
