Frieda Adelle Murray

Frieda Adelle Murray, wife of the late Roland Green, loving mother of Violette (Robert), cherished grandmother of Logan and Aria, sister to Laura (Bob), and cherished friend to many passed away at the age of 77. Frieda, who grew up in Washington, DC received her bachelors at University of Chicago where she met Roland. The two later married in 1975. Frieda was involved in many different social circles including the folk dance scene, performing with local groups across the city. The Society for Creative Anachronism, (SCA) and local science conventions both as a speaker and attendee. An active church goer, Frieda was a member of Church of Our Savior in Chicago for more than 20 years. She participated in the choir, read as a lector, and helped host coffee hour on a regular basis throughout the years. Frieda retired from the Social Security Administration in 2018 after a 37 year career as a civil servant.
