Frieda Rechtman, age 93, passed way on March 2, 2023. She moved to Miami in 1939 with her beloved parents Rose and Irving Greenberg and sister Jeanette Greenberg Wolf. Frieda attended Jackson High School and married Jerahmeel Ralph Rechtman in 1948 in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Jeanette and brother-in-law Cornell Wolf. Frieda and Jerahmeel had 3 children, Arlene, Norman, and Alan. She and Jerahmeel spent their lives building businesses with The Family Restaurant in Hialeah and Pump and Hardware Wholesalers in Miami.
Frieda was active in fundraising with National Asthma Center/National Jewish Hospital. Frieda and Jerahmeel moved to Century Village in Pembroke Pines in 1992, where she was past President of the Mid-West Club and remained active after Jerahmeel's passing in 2006.
Frieda is survived by daughter, Arlene Wasser husband Alan; son, Norman Rechtman, and son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Christina Rechtman. She is also survived by Grandchildren, llene Dillhyon and husband Mike; Michelle Ramer and husband, Dr. Michael; Alyssa Golden and husband Josh; Stacy McKinnes and husband John; Jessica Rechtman, Matthew Rechtman, Jaime Wasser-Hack and husband Greg; Josh Wasser and wife Lauren; and Jason Wasser. She is also survived by Great Grandchildren Cara Dillhyon, Jacob Dillhyon, Jered Dillhyon, Rebekah Ramer, Jordan Semel, Elianna Golden, Alexa Ramer, Max Ramer, Coen, Cody & Cole McKinnes, Benjamin Wasser, Joseph Wasser, and Noah Hack. In essence Frieda was blessed with 29 Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will commence on Sunday, March 5th at 11:45 am at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 18840 West Dixie Highway, Miami, Florida 33180, (https://www.google.com/maps/search/18840+West+Dixie+Highway,+Miami,%0D%0AFL?entry=gmail&source=g), followed by Internment at Mount Nebo Cemetery, 5505 NW 3rd Street, Miami, FL.

Shiva to be held at the home of Arlene and Alan Wasser.
