Frieda Rich Obituary
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Pine Level Methodist Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia with Rev. Mike Heitzman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Tuesday evening at the Paulk Funeral Home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Rich was born July 1, 1945, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Henry Neal Sr. & Mary Frances Dobbins Swanson. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School and attended the former East Central Technical College and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Ms. Rich retired from the Fitzgerald Housing Authority. She was a faithful member of Pine Level Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.
She is survived by her sisters; Shirley (David) Malcolm of Fitzgerald, Karen Luke of Fitzgerald, Janis Beanblossom of Irwinville, Judy Stewart of Valdosta and Patricia Bloodsworth of Abbeville; nieces and nephews; Lisa (Ed) Zurick, Kim (Greg) Dutton, John Michael (Stephanie) McCall, Terry Stewart, Jr., Pam (Michael) Goodman, Darien Luke, Kevin (Patricia) Luke, Glen (Bridgette) Luke, Paula Reaves, Woody Stewart, Clint (Liz) Bloodsworth, Clay (Brittany) Bloodsworth, and Cleve Bloodsworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Neal "Buddy" Swanson, Jr; sister, Voncille Swanson; nephews, Allen Stewart and Keith McCall; brothers-in-law: James Beanblossom, Johnny Luke, and Terry Stewart, Sr.
Flowers will be accepted, but the family suggests those desiring to send memorials, please send them to Pine Level Methodist Church, P.O. Box 132, Fitzgerald, Georgia 31750.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
