Friedel Barth, 70, of Stoneham, formerly of Lochum, Germany, passed peacefully, on December 5th, 2025, with his loving wife, Linda and his loving daughter, Stella, by his side, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Mr. Barth was born and raised on a farm in the beautiful region of Westerwald, Germany, known for its deep woods, green hills and valleys. He was the only son of the late Karl and the late Anna Barth of Lochum, Germany.

Mr. Barth served in the German Navy where he developed his growing interest and skills in electronics. Upon completion of a four-year term, he immigrated to the United States in 1978.

He and his soon to be wife, Linda Falzone, had already met in France, in 1973 and had kept up an overseas romance, back and forth, for five years. They married on August 12th, 1978, with an oceanside wedding, in Swampscott, Massachusetts. In 1980, they made Stoneham their home and raised two daughters, Maria Elena, and Stella Angela: their pride and joy.

Their daughters attended Harvard University and, they loved his visits. Maria and her father enjoyed watching together, the, "Top of the Charles" boat races along the Charles River, for years. Stella was on Harvard's cheerleading team, and she and her teammates, loved his support at football and basketball games, and cheerleading competitions, for years. He was a man of few words but, he was always present.

Mr. Barth pursued a long career in electronics. It was his work and his hobby.  Over the many years, he enjoyed creating electronic and wooden toys for his children and, later, for his grandchildren. He carved out of wood, beautiful birds, snowmen, storybook characters and masks, as gifts, for family members. He programmed songs to be played on their doorbell including, "Happy Birthday" on the days of his daughters' birthdays and birthday parties. He was well known for his handmade Halloween decorations with random and found objects. He made characters with LED lights for eyes, and motion- activated sounds, that included some of his favorite Pink Floyd music. His children's friends recall his elaborate snowmen in the wintertime.

He worked for New England Audio Visual, Micrilor, Proxim, Greater Global Communications and Sifos Technologies. He was a hard worker with exceptional skill and interest in the field of high technology.

Mr. Barth leaves his beloved wife of forty-seven years, Linda (Falzone) Barth, his beloved daughters, Maria Elena Barth and her husband, Eric Hoke, Stella Angela Barth and her husband, Christopher Tuthill, his beloved grandchildren, Ian Gabriel Barth-Hoke and Tessa Sofia Barth-Hoke, his beloved sisters, Edith Stubenvoll and Gerlinde Kunkler and her husband, Helvin, several loving nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his beloved sister, Erika Klein and her husband, Horst, and by his sister Edith's husband, Hans Stubenvoll.

Mr. Barth was a loving, inspired, brilliant and remarkable man. One of a kind.

He was greatly loved, and he will be greatly missed.
