Fritz Albert Schneider

Fritz Albert Schneider, of Atascosa, Texas, passed away on February 13, 2026 at the age of 88. He was born August 29, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas, to Albert William Schneider and Lucia Joan Skonitzki Schneider.

Fritz was a graduate from Southwest High School. For twenty-two years he worked for City Public Service. He also farmed in South Texas for four decades.

On March 30, 1958, Fritz married Carolyn Ann Geiger at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Von Ormy, Texas. They were blessed with fifty-three years of marriage and three children.

Survivors include his children, Sheryl Franger (Wayne) of La Coste, Floyd "Bubba" Schneider (Lisa) of La Coste, and Becky Schneider of Atascosa; grandchildren, Amber Franger, Chase Menchaca (Kari), Jeremy Menchaca (Erica), and Christian Schneider; great-grandchildren, Cash Menchaca, Brylee Mulle, Hadleigh Menchaca, and Ana Menchaca; brother, Sidney Schneider (Linda) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and companion, Amanda Alanis.

Fritz was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Caroyln Schneider.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Atascosa, Texas.
