Fritz Equilla Young, Jr

Fritz Equilla Young, Jr., 87, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of Carlene Tyler Young entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 6, 2025. His memorial service will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 in the Wassamassaw Baptist Church, 704 Wassamassaw Lane Moncks Corner, SC 29461 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in Wassamassaw Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Wassamassaw Baptist Church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Fritz was born September 26, 1938 in Athens, Georgia, son of the late Fritz Equilla Young and the late Launa Waden Young Gresham. He loved eating, a real coke, and sweets. Fritz was a Pastor for over 41 years, and for the last 25 years of his ministry, he was the Pastor of Wassamassaw Baptist Church. He was affiliated with WKCL.

In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by children: Fritz E. Young, III (Laura) of Johns Creek, GA, Pamela Denise Richardson (John) of James Island, SC, Allen Lloyd Young (Laurie) of Charleston, SC, Robin K. Cook (Tim) of Summerville, SC, Penelope K. Kroeger (Brian) of Summerville, SC and Kimberly Stickel (Jon) of Goose Creek, SC; grandchildren: Fritz E. Young IV (Nicole), Joshua Cain (Olivia) Justin Cook (Audrey), Jordan Cook (Maria), Courtney Cook, Nicholas Licitra (Nancy), Lydia Stickel, and Emilee Stickel; great grandchildren: Kinsey, Tomas, Elian, Alice, Bella, and Caroline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Carl Eugene Young.
