Froto (Kenny) Gallardo Jr. age 71 passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, in El Paso Tx and will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Kenny was born on July 6, 1953, to Froto and Isidra Gallardo in Pecos, Texas.
Kenny is survived by his loving wife Mary alma (Palmita) Gomez Gallardo of 36 years. He is also survived by his brothers, Gabriel Jimenez, George Zaragosa and Joe Luis Gallardo. Additionally, Froto is survived by his sisters Maria Nunez Castro, Deloise Vasquez, and Lucy Schroeder.
He was preceded in death by his father Froto Gallardo Sr. and his mother Isidra Tarango Ortega, his brothers Michael Angel Nunez and Benito Nunez.
Kenny lived in Odessa, Tx in the 1970’s and worked for Cook’s Engine Services for many years. He then moved to Van Horn, Tx where he met and married the love of his life Mary Alma Gomez on September 17, 1988.
As a longtime resident of Van Horn, Froto was truly kind and respectful to everyone he met.
He worked for several years at the Culberson County Court House in Van Horn as a maintenance man.
Kenny loved to listen to “oldies” music. He was a very gentle and hardworking man. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be on March 25, 2025, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, officiated by Father Segio Legarreta. The viewing will be from 10:00 am till 12 noon, the Holy Rosary will start at 12 noon till 1:00 pm. the mass will start at 1:00 pm. the burial will follow at the Van Horn Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving are Ruben Florez Jr., Ruben Florez III., Valintine T. Ramirez, Ruben Castro, Oscar Borrego, and Isreal Borrego.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home of Van Horn, Texas.
