Frutoso Trujillo Obituary
Frutoso Trujillo, 66, a resident of Cordova, NM, passed away on November 21, 2023, from a lengthy Illness.
He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene Trujillo, sons Joey and Alfred Trujillo, father Levi Trujillo, brothers James Trujillo, Nelson Montoya, and Andrew Trujillo, nephews Antonio Trujillo, Jamie Trujillo and Tommy Serrano, In-laws Alfred and Annie Montoya, sisters-in-law Tammy Trujillo, Thelma Montoya, and Erlin Montoya, brothers-in-law Melvin Montoya, and Roger Montoya.
Frutoso was a loving and caring man who adored all of his family. His children and Jefita were his world. He enjoyed going to the casino, going camping, and for wood when he was well. He was a hard worker. Frutoso worked for the Zia Company until his illness. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his daughter Valerie Gonzales (Mark), sons Donny Trujillo, Jody Trujillo (Shanai), Abel Trujillo, mother Gregorita Trujillo, sisters Nina Torrez (Lawrence), Sarah Chavez (Alfred), Evelyn Martinez (Dennis), grandchildren that were raised by him Dante Trujillo (Samatha), Joey Trujillo (Britney), Angel Trujillo (Omar), grandchildren Alyssa Trujillo, Jared Gonzales, Michael and Daniel Zuni, and 7 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Bridgette Appa, sister-in-law Bernie Montoya, 7 nieces, 2 nephews, and many extended family.
Visitation will be on December 4, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. Mass will take place on December 5, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, NM. Burial to follow at Cordova Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Trujillo, Elijah Zuni, Dante Trujillo, Jared Gonzales, Donny Trujillo, and Daniel Zuni.
Special thanks to his caregiver Bridgette Appa, daughter Valerie Gonzales, sisters Nina Torrez, Evelyn Martinez, and Sarah Chavez and son Donny Trujillo, Marissa Esquibel with the giving program, and the nurses from Ambercare.
