Gabriel Jose Hernandez, 29, of Meriden, unexpectedly passed away on March 24, 2022. He was born in Meriden on May 4, 1992, the beloved son of Jose and Daisy Hernandez. He is survived by his parents and sisters Yesenia and Alexa Hernandez, as well as grandparents David Sanchez, Aurelia Mejias, and Estrella Ramirez, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Angel L. Hernandez and godfather Angel Hernandez.
After graduating from Platt High School, Gabriel went on to continue his studies at Central Connecticut State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. In his free time, Gabriel enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, working on his cars and exercising (especially boxing). Gabriel loved watching movies and playing video games, his favorites were Star Wars, Mortal Kombat and Halo. Gabriel was bright, kind, and creative. Gabriel always brought joy and laughter to those around him. Gabriel is and will always be loved by so many.
A service celebrating Gabriel's life will be held on Tuesday March 29 at 11:00am in Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave. Meriden. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
