Gabriel D. "Gabe" Manore

Gabriel "Gabe" D. Manore, 50, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. Gabe was born on January 27, 1976, and was the son of Douglas and Tina (Thompson) Manore. He was a 1994 graduate from Whiteford Agricultural School, where he played varsity football and basketball. Gabe served his country in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War for 8 years. After several years of fierce competitive volleyball with Jessica Havers, they decided to be on the same team and married on March 2, 2019. He was employed as a carpenter for the past years at Van Tassel Construction. Prior, he was employed by OCP Contractors for 25 years. Gabe has several talents, such as leather working, wood working, drawing, and doing tattoos. He also enjoyed volleyball, softball, pickle ball, basketball, and disc golf. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 351, in Rossford.

Gabe is survived by his loving wife, Jessica, children, Jonah and Eli Weaver, father, Douglas Manore; sister, Jessica (Matthew) Zilke, grandmother, Ruth Thompson; in-laws, Greg and Deb Havers; sister-in-law, Rachel (Shawn) Dyk; brother-in-law, Matt Havers, and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tina Manore, and grandparents, Marvin and JoAnn Manore, and Jack Thompson.

A gathering will be from 1-5 pm, Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, Michigan, where a memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
