Gage Colton Nunes was born on March 24, 2008 and left this world far too soon on August 17, 2024. Gage had an infectious smile and a laugh that was recognizable from across the room. He was a tender hearted, fun loving young man that everyone wanted to be around. He was fiercely protective of those he loved, especially his two sisters and his mom. He was his Dad's best friend and a light in this world that will never be replaced. He was a Cardinal football player, enjoyed anything related to sports, hanging out with his friends, spending time with his family, camping, cooking, joking around, loving his dog Otis, and just living life. And while we understand that his story was over on earth, that does not ease the pain that we all feel, but is a testament to the human that he was. He left behind friends that became brothers and sisters, his family was so much more than just blood. He truly knew what it meant to be a good friend and brother to those around him.
Gage is survived by his parents, Trenton and Brandy Nunes, sisters Rylee Nunes and Bailee Nunes (Blake Perschall), his grandparents, great-grandmothers, and his aunts and uncles. The world was a better place because he was in it, and although everyone that he touched is shattered right now, the amount of good times we all had with him will help us heal. We are all better people for knowing Gage.
Memorial Services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Collinsville High School Event Center with Rev. Ryan Amey officiating.
Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.

I will always remember how good of a friend he was to me. When I moved here in 5th grade he didn´t hesitate to make me feel welcome. I was so nervous to be going to a new school but his big smile made my fears go away. Gage was truly one of the best people that was put in this earth and his friendship will never be forgotten.
