In Loving Memory of Gail Elizabeth Clark (née Ivins)

Sunrise 1949 – Sunset 2025

Gail Elizabeth Clark, 75, of West Chester, Ohio, danced her way into the arms of eternity with the same bright Spirit she carried every day here with us. She leaves behind her husband and partner, Jeff Clark, who will forever miss the laughter, the adventures, and the quiet moments they shared. Also missing her is a lucky bunch of nieces and nephews who could always count on Aunt Gail for a game, a giggle, a shoulder, or a good old-fashioned cry of joy (Mad Libs, anyone?), along with her younger brother, Randy Ivins (Donna) of Clermont County, Ohio.

Gail was preceded in passing by her parents, dear Shirley and Clayton Ivins of Lebanon, Ohio, and her older brother, Richard Ivins of Marin County, California.

Professionally, Gail was a dedicated legal secretary and part-time wearer of many hats, often ones that involved food — her true love language. She delighted in collecting recipes, trying new dishes, and sharing her edible creations with everyone she loved (and many lucky acquaintances).

Games were Gail’s playground — board games, card games, games of chance, games of pure silliness — she played them all with precision, passion, and always with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Outdoors, she and Jeff together found their sanctuary, whether it was waking early to catch a sunrise or getting in prime position to take way too many photographs of a sunset, staying up late to see a meteor or taking a walk through the forest, putting toes in the sand, or sitting in the garden, her Spirit was always at home in nature.

Gail was a voracious reader, a lover of music, art, TV shows, puzzles, crosswords, Sudoku, and the latest NYT online brain-benders. Summers found her poolside, sun-kissed and sparkling with laughter, surrounded by friends, floating between memories old and new. She cherished long lunches, deep conversations, and visits with friends, special cousins and workmates — especially those who needed a tender hand during their final journeys.

And of course, no tribute to Gail would be complete without mentioning her love for the many furry companions who shared her home and her heart over the years. Without a doubt, they're bounding alongside her now, tails wagging in joy.

Gail, you will never be forgotten. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not ever. We love you. We mean it. Goodbye for now.
