Gail Lea DeLee

Gail Herrod Lea DeLee, a resident of Clear Creek (Clinton), was born on Feb. 2, 1938 along with her twin sister, Jean Yokley Ratcliff. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at ELSH, LA War Veterans Home, and Grace Nursing Home. She loved nursing and was a blessing to others. Visiting will be on Monday, Novl. 3, 2025 at Clear Creek Church, 17887 Hwy 432, Clinton, from 9am until 11:30am with services at 11:30am conducted by Rev. Rusty Bowser, Rev. Danny Greig and Rev. Joe Ratcliff. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton. She is survived by 3 daughters, Dawn Lea, Susan Lea Landry and Heather Lea. 2 sons, Al Lea and Tommy Lea. She is also survived by her husband of 30 years, Donald Ray DeLee, and step children, Glenn DeLee, Donna Brashier and Jo Allison Elkins. Twin sister, Jean Yokley Ratcliff and husband, Joe, siblings, Janet Forrest, Mack Herrod and Jay Herrod. 21 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jasper (Jap) Herrod and Jewell Poston Reames, a sister, Carolyn K. Seago and grandsons, Lorenzo DeLeon and Andrew Cody Lea. Pallbearers will be Tommy Lea, Nick Lea, Glenn DeLee, Ryan Pierson, Arnold DeLee, Cliff Hurst, Shane Landry and Connor Rollins. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Lea, Bill Hurst, Joe Ratcliff and Randy Allen. Gail was the closest thing to an angel that walked on this earth. She lived her life in service to others.
