Gail J. Haddock, 87, of Johnson City NY formerly of Endicott and Fenwick Island, DE passed into Eternal Life on Monday April 17, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with declining health. Gail was born October 17, 1935 in Numidia, PA. She joins the love of her life, Richard, who preceded her in May 2021. In addition to her husband, Gail was predeceased by her parents Joe and Pauline and beloved sister, Mary Jo Griffiths. Gail lived a life devoted to family, making many happy memories with each of them throughout the years. With her "gift of gab" she made friends everywhere she went and was always ready for fun or to pitch in and help out wherever needed. She enjoyed volunteering, knitting, cake decorating, watching football games from youth teams to the Pros, and travel. Many happy years were spent visiting and then finally retiring in Fenwick Island enjoying the sunshine and sea air, new friendships, and frequent visits from the family where so many fun memories were made. She is survived by her children Lynn (Tony) Donatelli, Rick (Shelly) Haddock, Lori (Craig) Spencer, John (Anne) Haddock; grandchildren Nick (Mhairi) Donatelli, Matt (Rachael) Donatelli, Adam (Sarah) Donatelli, Jake (Crystal) Haddock, Sam Haddock, Ryan (Abigail) Spencer, Courtney (Jack) Gostomski, Benjamin (Margaret) Spencer, Zachary Spencer, Kara Haddock, Reese Haddock; great grandchildren Cole, Finn, Myles, Rowan, Carter, Raegan, and Luca; brother Jerry (Emily) Wanzie, brother-in-law Rob Griffiths, and several nieces and nephews. Gail was looking forward to the July birth of her eighth great grandchild. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many staff members, medical providers, and special caregivers at United Methodist Homes who created a special home and extended caring family for the past several years, especially during the isolation of the pandemic.
Private graveside services for family and friends will be held in Gail's hometown of Numidia, PA in June of 2023.
