Gail Hight Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kraft-Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services on Jan. 31, 2026.
Gail Hight, was born on August 24th 1963 in Queens NY, where she was raised.

About the age of 30, Gail moved to Las Vegas with her Mother, Ethel and her son Daniel who was 6 years of age. She saw an opportunity to create a fresh new life for herself and her family. Even Gail's Aunt Ellen moved across country to be with them. She followed in her Brother Steven's foot steps, with his move out to Vegas to start a family of his own, as his wife was homesick and convinced him to move back to her hometown of Las Vegas.

Gail began her career in Customer service at Costco soon after relocating - a wholesale Corporation, she would proudly stay with and develop great relationships and long-term bonds with her co-workers, who would ultimately become her closest and dear friends until the end.

Gail was very spiritual and had a very warm heart with a colorful personality that accompanied a deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

She was a hard working, dedicated and loving Mother to her Son Daniel. Prior to relocating to Nevada, she worked 2 and sometimes even 3 jobs to support herself and her son, after a short lived marriage.

Gail raised a son that is characterized by those who know him, as a man of righteous character and values. A selfless person. The apple does not fall from the tree.

Gail is characterized the same way by those who knew her.

She very much enjoyed seeking out experiences in nature and was a lover of animals - particularly dogs. She loved hiking and always appreciated the beauty of the Utah, Nevada and Arizona deserts. Gail's strong love and interest in nature rubbed off on her son Daniel and his wife Erica as well, who now reside in Oregon, where they love the nature of that region.

Gail had a very strong love and faith in God and lived by Christian values.

Although Gail became very sick with stage 4 cancer over a year and a half ago, she never wavered in her faith that God had the right plans for her.

Unfortunately, Gail suffered with an unrelenting cancer, but despite that, she never stopped giving glory and praise to God. Even during the most challenging moments, she was content in her faith and loved God unconditionally. Gail always thanked Jesus no matter what her circumstances were. That will forever resonate with us.

After a fierce 1-1/2 year long battle with a rare T-Cell Lymphoma, the Lord took our beautiful beloved Gail.

Gail was a lively, fun, affectionate and friendly person who had quite a colorful fashion style! She had a big personality and an undeniable New York accent which many people got a kick out of.

Gail will be missed, but she will live on in our hearts. Yes it's painful she is not here with us physically in this world, but we need to find peace knowing Gail is in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
