Mike Brown: A Life Well Lived

Mike Brown, a devoted family man and skilled crane operator, passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on August 22, 1962, in Burlingame, California, Mike was the cherished son of Leslie and Masako Brown. He was raised in South San Francisco, where he graduated from South San Francisco High School in 1980. In 1992, Mike relocated to Truckee, California, where he met the love of his life, Kari. Together, they built a beautiful family with six children. In 2000, Mike moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he established a successful career as a respected crane operator for Deilco. Mike had a profound love for life and his family. He treasured the tradition of Sunday family dinners, his career, a round of golf, and cooking for those he loved. He was often found cracking open a cold one and, above all, spending quality time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his close-knit "brothers in industry." Mike was the embodiment of a generous and loving man, always ready to lend a helping hand. He lived by the sentiment that every relationship should begin with a firm handshake and evolve into a hug. Mike was truly the life of the party, possessing an infectious joy and a warm, unforgettable smile. He lived his life unapologetically and to the fullest.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister. He is survived by his loving wife, Kari; his children: Brandon (Gabby), Ashlie (Doug), Briana (Paulo), Mariah (Bryn), Sidni (Taylor), and Mike Jr. (Sevin); and his 13 beloved grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 31, 2026. Details will follow.
