Mrs. Gail Keiko Kawamoto, age 83, of Papaikou, Hawaii, passed away on August 5, 2025 in the Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 21, 1941 and retired from the State of Hawaii as a cafeteria cook at Kalanianaole Elementary School. She was a member of the Papaikou Hongwanji Mission and participated in the Foster Grandparent Program. Private services held. No flowers. She is survived by son, Barry (Craig) Kawamoto of Waikoloa; daughters, Janice Kawamoto of Papaikou and Marcia (Robert) Tavares of Hilo; half-Brothers, Vernon Nakamura of Honolulu and Miles Nakamura of Honolulu; two grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
