Gail Ann McFarlane, a spirited individual, beloved sister, mother, wife and friend, passed away on November 29th, 2024, in Austin, Texas, after a brief illness. A strong fighter to the end, she passed away peacefully, with her loved ones by her side. Born on January 27th, 1967, in Burlington Wisconsin. Gail lived a life of dedication, love and resilience.

Gail pursued her passion for helping other s by being a loss prevention officer for many stores, like Walmart and Kohls. She then advanced to jailer, then deputy sheriff for Milwaukee County , Wisconsin. After leaving the sheriff's department attended nursing school at MATC. Her career was diverse and impactful. After coming to Texas, she was prisoner transport. Later years a CNA. Her commitment to her work and community was unwavering, reflecting her true Patriot spirit. A devout Catholic, who fiercely believed in God and country. Often donating to Tunnels to Towers, and many other organizations.

Gail was known for her love of animals, sharing her life with her cherished pets, Hooch, Blondie, and Chewbaca, and the newest companion, Cinnamon the cat. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her pets, as she had the remarkable ability to grow anything and a deep appreciation for natural healing and remedies. She storm chased in Coleman and Bastrop counties, and from her computer constantly sending updates to family, friends and the NWS. A die-hard Packer fan, and a strong political advocate, Gail was a free spirit, and a force to be reckoned with.

Gail was preceded in death by her mother Susan J. McFarlane (Ziebell), father Gailan (Gig) V. Carter, brother Michael V. McFarlane, her beloved grandmother Ruth Ziebell and many other aunts and uncles.Gails legacy is carried on with her children, daughter Whitney McFarlane of Racine, WI., grand daughter Isabella Remmers and son Randall J. Chicks of Bowler, WI. Gail is survived by her children, their father Randall J. Chicks Sr.,, her sister Donna Chevalier of Coleman, Texas, and her best friend, confidant, husband Henry Joseph Lachausse IV. Her family and vast amount of friends will remember her as a strong willed Warrior, with a caring soul.

Graveside services will be held at Colorado Chapel Cemetary in Utley, Texas. Gail will be laid to rest on Monday, December 9th, at 1:00 p.m. Her memory will forever cherished by those that knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Keep your head on a swivel. Till Valhalla
