Gail was born on April 4, 1946, at St. John Hospital to parents Victor and Katherine Michel (both deceased), and raised in Lakewood where she attended St. Rose of Lima grade school and was a long-time parishioner of St. Rose Church. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in 1964.
After graduation, Gail worked in Data processing while also helping her mother, Katherine, run the family business "Michel's Delicatessen" on Detroit Rd in Lakewood, until the store was sold in 1974. Gail finished her career after 17 years at United Transportation Union, retiring in 2010.
During that time, Gail became interested in ballroom dancing, traveling the area for competitions and winning many awards.
In her younger years, Gail traveled to Europe and the throughout the United States, with one of her favorite places being Alexandria Bay, New York.
Funeral Mass to be held at 2:30 pm on Nov. 19, 2025 at Blessed Trinity Church, 14040 Puritas Avenue, Cleveland. The family will host a reception after the Mass at Arturos Bar & Grill 26679 Brookpark Ext. North Olmsted.

I shared a table with Gail at meals. We got to be good friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and we shared a lot of laughs.
She will be missed by all of us at Rockport.
