Gail Redman Nairn

Gail Elam Redman Nairn, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away in Feb. 1, 2025. Born in 1940 to John and Kathleen Redman in Washington, D.C., Gail was the middle of nine children-Vivian (Billy), Mary (Jimmy), John Jr. (Rosalie), Coyle ("Bobo"), Karen (Buddy), Charles (Karin), Kathie, and Gordon ("Buster") (Dolly).
In 1959, Gail married the love of her life, George Nairn, Sr. Together, they built a beautiful life until his passing in 2009. Their family grew with the births of their three children-Rhonda (who preceded her in death in 2010), George Jr. (Gina), and Katie (Ric). She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Tony (Cristal), Paul, Nicholas, Frank (Becca), Jakob, Jeremiah, and Mikayla; and one great-grandson, Emiliano.
Gail had a long career as an Administrative Assistant and Web Designer for the federal government, where she worked from 1958 until her retirement in 1998. Faith and community were central to Gail's life. She was a devoted member of Christ Episcopal Church in Clinton, where she actively volunteered and found comfort in her faith. She enjoyed playing bingo at the Elks Lodge, trying her luck at games of chance, and making occasional trips to the casino. A lifelong lover of movie musicals, she could often be found singing along to her favorites. Her beloved dog, Friday, who passed in 1999, held a special place in her heart-so much so that she still shed tears for him in 2025.
