Gail Suzanne Peterson

Gail Suzanne Peterson, age 65 of Frederick MD, died November 3, 2023.
Gail Peterson was born in 1958 in Bethesda, Maryland, to Donald and Ann Clifford the third child of four siblings. The family moved to Mclean, VA and then Great Falls VA. She graduated from Langley High School in McLean, VA and then went on to undergraduate school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA where she majored in French. While in college, she spent a year studying in France, becoming fluent in the French language. After graduating from UVA she continued her education with a Masters of Business Administration from William and Mary University in Williamsburg, VA.
She was employed by IBM and ten years later became self employed as a software employment recruiter. She married Mark Peterson and had a son, Joseph Peterson shortly thereafter. She moved to Denver, Colorado and then Raleigh, NC where
she became a French teacher at the high school and middle school level.
Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Clifford, father, Donald Clifford, sister, Lisa Beach, and her husband, Mark Peterson. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Scull (Charles) brother, Michael Clifford, and son, Joseph Peterson.
Gail battled valiantly against a long-term deterioration of her health.
