Fagan's Funeral HomeGail Simons, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Lake City, FL. Born on March 27, 1938, in Warsaw, NY, the daughter of the late Roger and Hazel (Stamp) Palmer. Gail's life journey was marked by her friendly disposition and unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Gail's early years were spent in the nurturing environment of Bath, NY, where she graduated from Haverling Central School in 1956. She then went on to R.I.T. and majored in Commercial Art. It was in Bath where she also met the love of her life, Grant Simons. Together, they embarked on a beautiful journey of love and partnership that lasted 68 years, a testament to their unwavering commitment to each other. One of their lifelong favorite things was attending musical theater.
Gail and Grant's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as they owned and operated Annlee Concessions Root Beer Truck. Their presence was a staple at county fairs and festivals, where Gail's radiant smile and friendly conversations became as much a draw as the root beer they served. Her dedication to her work was evident, as she poured her heart into every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Family was the cornerstone of Gail's life. She was a loving wife to her husband Grant, a nurturing mother to her son Geoff Simons of NC, and daughter Beth Ann (John) Girardi of NC. Gail's family circle extended to her cousin Pat Kidman, brother-in-law Frank Simons, sisters-in-law Doris Parmelee and Harriett Benham, and several adoring nieces and nephews.
Gail's interests reflected her commitment to service and community. As a Rainbow Girl and a member of the Order of Eastern Stars, she exemplified the values of charity, hope, and faith. Her past membership in the Centenary United Methodist Church in Bath was another facet of her unwavering faith and her desire to contribute positively to the world around her.
Gail's passing leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will continue to inspire and guide us. Her spirit, characterized by her generosity and kindness, will live on through the countless lives she touched.
