Gail Smith Obituary
who lost her battle with COPD at age 88 on February 06, 2026. She was born August 3, 1937 in CT but chose to make her home in FL in 1979, where she met & married the love of her life.
Gail and Gary Smith have devoted the last 40 years to building and operating Custom Hardwood Floors, together, they put their heart & soul into the company and each other.
Gail was very passionate about reading, she loved fantasy and science fiction novels. She enjoyed collecting unique and artistic dragons and loved the beauty of Orchids and other flowering plants.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Smith. Sisters Linda Marchant, Sally Kelly and brother Franklin Larrow.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters Sandra Scott & Terri Schriver, stepdaughter Leisa Walton and her sons James Erskine Jr, Michael Erskine and stepsons Donnie Smith & Scott Smith. She was preceded in death by her daughter Laurie Ann Erskine and stepson Christen Smith.
Grandchildren Kieth Erskine, Joshua Morton, Derrick Erskine, Michael Erskine, David Erskine, Crystal Mendoza, Tiffany Tamasfi & husband Lez Tamasfi.
She also leaves many great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
It was Gail's wish to be cremated. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
A celebration of life will take place at their home on 04/11/2026 at 11 a.m. Family & friends are invited to join us in celebrating Gail's life!
