Gail Clinton Snyder, 80, of Zanesville passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Genesis Hospital. He was born March 27, 1945 in Zanesville. He was the son of Clinton and Hazel Snyder.

Gail attended Maysville Schools and was a graduate in the Class of 1963. He participated in many sports with golf as a lifetime game. In younger days, he was a hunter, bagging a ten-point buck with a bow. He bowled in leagues in Gallipolis scoring a perfect 300 game. But his favorite sport was playing baseball. He married his high school sweetheart, Garren Luster on June 6, 1965 at South Zanesville Methodist Church, a marriage of 60 years. He was employed at the Philo Power Plant and transferred to the Southern Ohio Coal Company, where he worked for 27 years. At this time the family moved to Gallipolis.

To this union, surviving are two daughters, Gina Snyder and Gwenda Dyer (Layton Roark), both of Zanesville.

Deceased are a son, Graydon Snyder, who died in 2021, an infant daughter, Tricia Gail, and sister, Judy Potts. Also left to remember him with love are five grandsons: Carson Gail Hodge, Gage Dyer, Garrett Snyder, Gavin Burns, and Gunner Inskeep; two sisters-in-law, Gaylin Higdon (Dave) and Cindy Ford (Al); and brother-in-law, Terry Luster (Sandy).
