Gail M. Welsh, 60, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on December 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Gail was born on December 3, 1964, to Charles and Louise (Blaire) Beebe in Vancouver, Washington growing up with five siblings. She graduated from Woodland High School in Washington State in '83. Immediately after high school, she graduated from ITT Tech in '85 with an Associates Degree.
Gail's passion was to travel the great oceans. She was able to accomplish these dreams with her husband and even made it to Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and a cruise to Mexico.
In 1999, Gail started her journey with AAFES on Fort Riley. She stayed with this company for twenty-five years, earning her retirement and being honored through a flag ceremony being flown over the Nation's Capital for forty-eight hours. Serving the soldiers and families of Fort Riley for many years, the Commanding General honored her by presenting her a Certificate of Honor and Retirement.
The only job that was more important to her was being a mother to her family. She was a child of God and always instilled joy and peace through her praise and worship.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Paul; six sons, Shawn Beebe, Anthony (Amanda) Hurst, Nathan Hurst, Phillip (Julie) Welsh, Marc (Tracey) Welsh, and Kevan (Carissa) Welsh; two daughters, Samantha (Daniel) Ott-Mims and Autumn Welsh; nine grandsons and six granddaughters; three sisters, Mary (Paul) Ray, Chris (Bruce) Groshong, and Rinda (Dave) Dunn; two brothers, Chuck (Reita) Beebe and Duane Beebe; seven nieces, five nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a great-nephew, Jesse Dietrich.
