Gail L. Wimer, 70, of Quarryville, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Ray B. Wimer, sharing 48 years of marriage together.
Born in Minersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Morrison) Davis.
Gail was a graduate of Hempfield High School, class of 1973. For many years, Gail cared for her family and home. Once her children were grown, she entered the workforce and found employment with Flexsteel, Modern Woman, Dress Barn, Susquehanna Mini Dairy, and the Lancaster County Courthouse. Gail and Ray were long-time members of the Red Rose Antique Auto Club and the Hershey AACA Club. She was also a member of the former St. Paul's Church in Quarryville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Robert (Carla Moury) Wimer, of Quarryville, Renee (John) Austin, of Columbia, and William (Lori Doubts) Wimer, of Quarryville, a brother, Robert (Olga) Ehrhart, of Lebanon, a sister, Olive (Gary) Kendig, of Lancaster, and five grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 7, at Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, 227 West 4th Street, Quarryville, PA 17566, with Pastor Ken Hash officiating. A time of viewing will be held at the funeral home from 10 AM – 11 AM. Interment will follow the service in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery.
