My prayers to all the family. Gaithel and I were the only fathers that wore aprons when our children were in preschool; we were a sight! I had much respect for Gaithel and for the work that he did. Once on Halloween, Gaithel asked if I had seen any kids throwing eggs. When I said no, he pulled out two pockets full of eggs and said he was ready for them this year. I couldn't believe it; it was hilarious! Gaithel was a great guy and always personable. I am saddened at his loss. My prayers to everyone who had the pleasure to know him; I know he will be missed.

Gaithel was a good and true friend at all times after we graduated from the Basic Recruit Police Academy in 1976. His professional ethics, personal honesty, reliability and trustworthiness were exceeded only by an utmost devotion to family, friends and his fellow police officers. He will be missed.
