Galene Nedjoika Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mountain Memorial Funeral Home on Jan. 13, 2026.
Galene (Gay) Louise Bradeen-Nedjoika, age 59 - passed away suddenly, at her residence in Divide, Colorado on Friday January 9th, 2026.

Galene was born on June 4th, 1966 into the Bradeen family of; Ada, Rodney, Stevie, Robert (Bobby), Roy and Deborah Bradeen. Galene attended Branford High School and spent her younger years growing up and going on adventures at the beaches in Branford, Connecticut. She was working at the IUOE Local 478 Union Hall when she met her loving husband and life partner - Jeffrey Nedjoika. They later moved to Divide, Colorado where they bought their first home together in 1996; and later started a family in 1997.

As a mother, daughter, sister, wife, friend and as HR Director, Galene spent her years putting others before herself, making sure everyone else was okay before herself. In her life, Galene focused on helping other people not slip through the cracks. She taught us lessons that didn't always come from words, but from how she lived. She stood firm in what she believed in. The importance of kindness, resilience, forgiveness, and family. She taught us how to care deeply, how to preserve, and how to love without condition. Most importantly, she taught us how to get back up after being knocked down. She was a fearless woman with a strong back-bone.

She is now reunited with her parents - Rodney Bradeen and Ada Philbrick-Bradeen; Her brothers; Steve, Robert (Bobby) and Roy Bradeen. Her Godmother; Monica Bradeen, her brother-in-laws; Allen Rosa and Steve Nedjoika as well as her father-in-law; Edward Nedjoika.

Galene is survived by her loving husband Jeffrey Nedjoika; Her children Victor and Emma Nedjoika of Divide Colorado; Her sister Deborah Bradeen; her sister-in-law Christine Bradeen. Her mother-in-law; Marilyn (Mickey) Putnam-Nedjoika. She was a loving aunt to her nephews Kory Downs, Nick and Ryan Bradeen, and her nieces Rachel Zibell-Bradeen and Elizabeth Nedjoika-Green of Connecticut.

She is also survived by and will be heavily missed by her canine companion, Brie; As well as her very close family friends Charles (Chip) Viel and Darlene Grass.

Funeral services will be held at Mountain Memorial in Divide, CO on Friday the 16th. The viewing will begin at 2:30pm and the service will begin at 3pm.

At a later date, her family will fly out to Connecticut to have another service and lay her to rest. Her absence leaves an ache words cannot fully capture. her legacy lives on through each of us, and her love remains with us.
