Gareth Hronek

The late great Gareth Hronek passed away in his sleep on Sunday, March 31, 2025, of
natural causes. He was a headstrong man adored by his community. He was friendly,
level-headed, and self-assured, never failing to make friends wherever he went.
He attended school in Grangeville, Idaho, and served in the United States Navy. He
moved around the northwest with his family before settling back in his hometown with
his late wife, Kay-Lynn Hronek, and late puppy Pepper Hronek. Gareth's greatest days
were spent camping at Kelly Creek, playing billiards every Saturday, and puttering
around his home in Grangeville, watching Fox News and John Wayne classics.
He is survived and remembered fondly by his brothers, John and Galen Hronek, his
children, Suzi Linder, Karina Delp, David, and Darrel Hronek, and a slew of
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. We know he's at peace, joining his
parents, wife, sons Stanley and Kevin, and dogs in the next life.
A celebration of life/family reunion will be held on July 26, 2025, 2-5 pm at Chief
Timothy State Park, and all who knew Gareth are encouraged to attend, so we may
demonstrate even a fraction of the passion for life for which he was known.
