Gariann Von Kiedrowski of Hamilton IL, age 81, passed away September 17, 2025 at her home peacefully in Hamilton surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
She was born Sept 18, 1943, to Gerald Picton and Annabell Huff Swiftbird. She was later adopted by Lula and Grant Moore. On December 21, 1963, she was united in marriage to Paul William Von Kiedrowski. He survives.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She was strong in her faith and was a well-loved Sunday school teacher. She touched many hearts with her beautiful singing voice.
She will be best remembered for her nursing career. Where she showed true compassion and care for her patients and families. She worked at Montebello Nursing Home and Keokuk Convalescence Center as a Director of Nursing. She also worked at Von's Tax Service and State Cafe Restaurant.
She is also survived by their children Debbie (Bruce) Summers, Chris (Jane) Von Kiedrowski, and Robert (Renee) Von Kiedrowski, all of Hamilton. Grandchildren Kristen (Andy) Ouano, Aaron Summers, Chad (Jennifer) Von Kiedrowski, Corey (Vivian) Von Kiedrowski, Codie (Gretchen) Von Kiedrowski, Alayna Von Kiedrowski, Cody (Makenzie) McClain, and Samantha McClain as well as numerous Great-Grandchildren survive. One half-brother, two half-sisters and stepsiblings also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Pete Swiftbird, and her infant son, Ronnie Paul. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Terry and Brad Picton, and a sister Joyce Hoyt.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM. at the Printy Funeral Home in Hamilton. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, IL. Visitation was held prior to the service from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 at the funeral home with family meeting with friends at that time. Memorials may be directed to the family of Gariann Von Kiedrowski.
