Franklin (Frank) Karl Kiedrowski 86, of Spring Hill Florida passed away Thursday May 30th 2024. He was born May 25th 1938 in
Cando, North Dakota to Albert and Anna (Heftner) Kiedrowski. Frank was one of 8 children. He is said to have been seen flying a plane around town as early as 16 years of age. Frank graduated in 1956 from Devils Lake Central where he played basketball and ran track.
After high school Frank went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force as an Airman. He entered into service December 9th 1958 and was honorably discharged October 19th 1962 as an A1C E-4 rank. On September 21st 1963 he married his high school sweetheart Cheryll Dawn Reynan at St. Joseph's Church in Devils Lake ND. Frank and Cheryll moved to Detroit Michigan soon after where he would start his 30 year long career with Ford Motor Company as a carpenter.
Frank was a very proud father of two boys, Charlie and Rodney (Pete) During his time in Detroit he and Cheryll raised their family and made many friends along the way. They enjoyed spending their time traveling to different states. Frank was very active in the union, he attended countless events all over the United States. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, a proud member of the UAW, a member of the Eagles, a member of the Multi Lakes Conservation Association as well as being on the board for the Forest Glenn Community where he resided for 30 plus years.
In 1991 Frank and Cheryll bought a home in Spring Hill Florida and began their next chapter as retirees. Sadly Cheryll passed away in 2003. Frank continued to be very active. He enjoyed spending time helping friends who were like family and family who were also friends. All his relationships were very important to him. He loved to tell his stories. He could tell them for hours and he told them often. He truly lived and he loved.
Frank Kiedrowski was a proud man. He loved his family fiercely as well as spending time with friends telling his stories at "The Office" and chatting up the ladies at his favorite breakfast spots. It gave him so much joy, Frank was also a prankster, he loved to make people laugh. He was overjoyed to see that his boys turned out to be a couple of chips off the ole block.
Frank was survived by his 2 sons, Charlie of Cleveland Texas and Rodney (Pete) of Ortonville Michigan; 5 grandchildren Allison, Charlie, Thomas, Katie, and Haylee: 1 great grandchild Calliope; and 4 siblings Mondonna Gully, Delphine Hutson, Ronald Kiedrowski (Barbara), and Gordian Kiedrowski (Patricia).
He was preceded in death by his wife Cheryll, and 3 siblings: Patricia Tompkins, Albert Kiedrowski, and Celestine Eggl. Also by his faithful sidekick Baron (many), all were grey/brown weimaraners he had since his early days in Michigan.
We would like to say a special thank you to the wonderful, kind people of the Forest Glenn Community especially Carol Story and Carol Tremper for caring for Frank like he was your own family, We are forever grateful.
Frank is now resting comfortably with Cheryll and his many Baron's. He will be missed dearly.
