Garold Eugene Simning

Garold Eugene Simning, age 69, passed away on December 19, 2025, after a brief but aggressive illness. He was born on June 24, 1956, by Lamberton, Minnesota, the middle child of Raymond and Ardelle Simning. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1974.

In 1987, he moved to Willmar, Minnesota, where he worked for many years at Willmar Poultry Company/ Eagle Lake Hatchery. He later worked at Home Depot and Walt's Car Wash.

Garold met the love of his life: Brenda Kolar in 1988 and finally married her on March 20, 1993. They bought a home in Willmar, where Garold proudly did yard work and loved to decorate his yard for all seasons. He particularly liked his 8-foot Werewolf called " Wolfie" and was happy every time it scared some unknowing person.

Garold enjoyed bowling, Pow Wows, Curling, Horseshoe, Wood Working, Fishing and attending the 4-H horse shows and dog shows. He made great Chili, meatballs pancakes, and tater tot hot dish. He got excited over dressing up like Santa Claus (because he had the perfect beard and mustache for the job).

Although a man of few words, he loved to give his friends "crap" and enjoyed when they gave it back. He will be missed by his loving wife, who's only fault, in his mind, was her shopping. He was very close to his in-laws, especially Ruby and Joe and many nieces and nephews, who spent much time with him and made his last days blessed.

Survived by his brother: Lennis (Neva) from Springfield; sisters: Cyndy Simning and Joleen Giesler from Faribault and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Willmar Community Center 624 HWY 71 N. Willmar, MN beginning at 10:00 A.M.

A Memorial service for Garold Eugene Simning will be held at the Willmar Community Center, 624 HWY 71 N. Willmar, MN beginning at 11:00 A.M.

Urn Bearers will be Sydney Gargin and LuAnn Kruger
