Born in Memphis, he was the son of the late John F. and Norma Joy Wallace Bearden and had lived most of his life in Leachville. Garrett was a 1982 graduate of Leachville High School and was a member of the Leachville First United Methodist Church. A professional musician, he had played drums for many bands over the years including, Black Oak Arkansas, Currency, Warning, Blue Oyster Cult, and Clay, a Christian rock band affiliated with the First Church of God in Paragould. He was currently employed by Godsey's Grill in Jonesboro. Survivors include; 1 son, John Jacob Garrett Bearden of Leachville 1 daughter, Brianna Joy Ibanez (Isaac) of Leachville He had one granddaughter, Ava Synclaire Ibanez, and was expecting another grandchild. He also leaves; 1 brother, Mike Bearden of Rogers, Arkansas 4 sisters; Kay Worsham (Larry) Gay Cullum (Joe) Pam Willett Johnnye Johnson (Donnie) , all of Jonesboro Funeral service will be 2 p. m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mark Cobbs, Billy Pate, Jim Mangrum, Ricky Lee Reynolds, J. D. Shepard, Jr. and John Jacob Garrett Bearden.
