Mr. Garrett Dean Carnes age 63 of Middlesboro, Kentucky and formally of Knox County, passed away on Thursday - February 19, 2026 at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mr. Carnes is survived by his wife Cecilla Skidmore Carnes of Middlesboro, his sons Alex Carnes and wife Maressa of Carrollton, Kentucky and Evan Carnes of Shawnee, Oklahoma, he was the brother of Sharon Sizemore of Corbin, Kentucky and Dennis Carnes and significant other Mary Mays of Barbourville, Kentucky, Grandfather of Maxwell Carnes, Zander Carnes, Aubree Campbell, Aiden Carnes, Riot Carnes, Jessie Aguilar and Melayna Aguilar. He is also survived by these nieces and nephews, Shawna Hensley and Michael Castle both of London, Kentucky, Amy Russell of Barbourville, Kentucky, Tosha Carnes and Danny Sizemore of Knox Co., Kentucky and Farmer Sizemore of Corbin, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents Garrett and Bernice Castle Carnes and one sister Judy Castle.
Graveside services for Mr. Garrett Dean Carnes will be conducted at 1:15 P.M. on Sunday - February 22, 2026 at the Sizemore Cemetery in Shymug Hollow with Rev. James Vandy officiating, burial will follow in the Sizemore Cemetery. The Family of Mr. Garrett Dean Carnes will receive friends on Sunday - February 22, 2026 from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. at the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home.
