Garrett (Fairleigh) Flores, 36, left his earthly body at Newton Medical Center on September 26th, 2024. He was born to Tama Lea Fairleigh and Glenn Dale "Buster" Fairleigh on November 17th, 1987 in Wichita, KS.
Garrett, a graduate of Wichita High School East and Wichita Technical Institute, was a proud member and advocate of the LGBTQ+ community and a champion for all human rights. Garrett was a lover of music, stand-up comedy specials, and was always excited to share his interests with friends; new and old. His passion for laughing and sharing stories was contagious. Garrett could be found behind the register for several years at Buster's Burger Joint, working alongside his dad, before pursuing his Medical Assistant degree. He is survived by his mother and father, Tama and Buster Fairleigh (Wichita, KS), Grandparents Roger and Bonita Graham (Wichita, KS), husband Robert Flores (Newton, KS), brothers Graham Fairleigh (Overland Park, KS) and Gage Fairleigh (Wichita, KS), in-laws Linda and Ines Flores (Newton, KS) and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
Garrett is preceded in death by his Grandmother; Marge "Grammarg" Fairleigh, Grandfather; Dale Fairleigh, Aunt; Darci Luther, and Aunt; Jeannie Fairleigh
Services will be held at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Wichita, KS on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 at 1:00pm
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made to The Wichita LGBT Health Coalition. wichitalgbthealth.com
