Garry Lewis Farris, 71, resident of Nashville, died Saturday, March 29, 2025 at TriStar Skyline Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Dr. Barry Farris officiating. Entombment will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 12:00 PM till 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.
The family suggest memorials may be made to the Hydrocephalus Association, 4340 East West Highway, Suite 905, Bethesda, MD 20814-4447; or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born December 19, 1953 in Columbia, TN, he was the son of the late Lewis Walker Farris and the late Betty Ann Cothran Primm. Garry retired as an Audio Engineer for MTV Networks. He loved flying, enjoyed going to airshows, and was close to receiving his pilot's license. He also enjoyed going to the beach and spending time on his tritoon boat. Garry was an avid Beatles and Paul McCartney fan. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Ingram; daughters, Courtney Megan Farris, Ashley Farris Hambrick; grandchildren, Ava Hambrick, and Lucas Farris; sister, Cathy (Mark) Richards; nephew, Daniel (Shea) Richards; great-nephew, Rolen Richards; and great-niece, Maggie Richards.
Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
