GARY "HOSS" ARCHIBALD
Bethel Springs, TN: Gary Lynn Archibald, age 64, passed away August 1, 2025, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born and raised in Alamo, TN, January 22, 1961, son of the late Jimmy and Ann Robinson Archibald. He graduated from High School in Alamo and went to Diesel Mechanic School in Nashville.
Gary became a Flat Bed Truck Driver working for L & L Trucking in Bolivar for many years. Trucking was his life.
He was a very active member of Palestine Baptist Church in Henderson.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking and going out to eat.
Gary married Vicki Stack in January of 2001, and they made their home in Bethel Springs.
He was a devoted husband, loving stepfather, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Archibald; two stepsons, Anthony Overton (Stacy) of Huron, TN and Corey Stack of Saltillo, TN; fur daughter, Tigger; four grandchildren, Jonah and Laci Hayes, J.D. and Chandler Stack; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday August 8, 2025, at Palestine Baptist Church with Bro. Anthony Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and again from 12:00 to 2:00 PM service time Friday at the church.
