Gary W. Aumack, 82, of
Titusville, FL, passed away in his home on January 28th.
He was born in Lake Tract, NJ, in 1942 to Arthur W. Aumack and Alda E. (Thorne) Aumack; Gary grew up with seven other siblings.
He graduated from Woodbury High School, served in the Marine Corps for 4 years, followed by 2 years of service in the National Guard. He then had a 50+ year career in home maintenance and repair, providing services in many communities within Stuart and Hobe Sound, FL. Prior to retiring, he worked part time for 5 years as a bank courier.
He had a gift for woodworking and carpentry and crafted many beautiful works of art: cradles, coffee tables, rocking horses, hope chests, and so much more, for his family and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Aumack and Alda (Thorne) Aumack and 5 Siblings: Arthur Aumack, Beatrice Pratt, Alda Barnhardt, James Aumack and Donald Aumack.
Gary is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy E. (Davis) Aumack, his 2 siblings: Faith Beckett and Kenneth Aumack, his 5 children: Robert Aumack of Blairsville, GA, Kelly Gann of Reno, NV, Heidi MacCoy of Enumclaw, WA, Michelle Hankins of Oviedo, FL, Holly Barbour of
Titusville, FL, by his 11 grandchildren: Briana Beckley, Danielle Gann, Alyssa Aumack, Amanda Schirrmeister, Alexandra Starroff, Kaitlyn Maccoy, Nicholas Hanley-Hankins, Kathleen Bravo, Madison Barbour, Adam Hankins, Tyler Barbour, and his 7 great-grandchildren: Mason, Vivian and Evan Beckley, Sage and Scarlett Young, Anthony Bravo, and Waylen Thompson. Gary was known fondly for his love of khaki pants and flannel shirts, his friendly personality, his cheerful whistle, and his love of trains.
A celebration of life and memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date.
