Ruby Dean Edlund

Ruby Dean Edlund, 85, of Mims, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Ruby was born in Ada, Oklahoma, and her life's journey carried her across the country and around the world. She met the love of her life, Lynn R. Edlund, in Santa Monica, California, and the two were united in marriage-sharing 63 devoted years together. In 1963, they made Florida their home, living in several communities before spending two years in Germany. They returned to Titusville in 1980 and later settled in Mims, where they built a life filled with family, faith, and friendship.

Ruby worked for many years as a secretary with McDonnell Douglas and Lockheed Martin, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit. In more recent years, she found great joy in working as a travel agent, a career that reflected her passion for adventure and exploring new places. She loved reading, traveling, and discovering the beauty of the world around her, but her greatest treasure was always her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Lynn R. Edlund; her children, Brian Edlund (Christine), Kathleen Bross (James), and Jean Schultz; and 11 cherished grandchildren. Her love, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A service to celebrate Ruby's life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 1PM.
